I just want to share a few words with all our members of the Solano county Republican Central Committee. Right now in 2013 we have in our county only a very few elections that are to be decided by the voters this November. (1) Dixon school board which has only three people running for three seats so there will be no suspense in that race. (2)Travis school board election has one seat open and no Republican running. (3) Vallejo city council they have four seats open and again no Republican in the race. The big question is of course why do we not have Republicans in every race?
I do want you to know that your central committee understands that its part of their job to find qualified Republicans to run for office at every level. We cannot do this on our own it’s a team effort just like getting out the vote and contacting our voters the central committee is only a handful of dedicated individuals who are dependent on you our Republican volunteers. Not unlike a military combat team we are only as strong as our weakest part of the puzzle. Everyone associated with any group or origination in Solano County should always be on the lookout for strong qualified candidates for every elected office no matter how much power or influence the position holds. When you find a possible candidate or know someone who you believe would make a good elected official you should then take steps to introduce them to our committee. Next year’s election months will be off the charts as far as workload as we will be involved with elections at every level and in every city in Solano County. Without the help of all our volunteers many great candidates will go unnoticed and unelected.
The Solano Central committee meets formally twice every month our meetings take place on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday at 7pm and as always they are held at our Headquarters located in Fairfield at 625 Jackson Street. We also host a mixer each month on the 4th Friday which is held at our headquarters and starts at 6pm. You can also contact us through our web page or on Facebook, our headquarters phone number is 707 422 5000 and if you are in Fairfield stop by and have a cup of coffee and we can discuss the issues that are affecting our county. I want to wrap up this blog by saying this” Please Vote “ it’s so important that you get your voices heard. Together we can make a huge difference in Solano County.
